Mario and Luigi Halloween Costume
Mario and Luigi are best remembered for their appearances as plumbers in their very own video game, but they have also had their own television show and a movie based on them. This costume idea might be ideal if one partner is skinny and the other is slightly plump but that is not a firm necessity. You will need red and green overalls, caps and (possibly fake) moustaches to make the costume work. You can even carry a wrench or a plunger to appear even more convincing.
Fred Flintstone Halloween Costume
Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble are not new costume ideas, but they are very useful for gay couples not to mention fairly easy to make. One only needs to wear an orange suit with black marks to be Fred and brown to be Barney, with a black and blonde wig if necessary. Alternately, a lesbian or transgender couple might decide to dress up as Wilma and Betty, which would only require white and blue dresses and possibly a necklace to resemble rock-like pearls.
Bill and Ted Halloween Costume
Bill and Ted are best-known as absent-minded teenagers portrayed by Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter. These might seem slightly more involved but they don’t need to be. If you were a child of the 80s, not only would this be an excellent costume idea, but odds are you have the same kinds of clothes Bill and Ted wore. Blonde (curly) and black (mop top) wigs might be necessary.
Brokeback Mountain Halloween Costume
Brokeback Mountain costumes have become increasingly popular thanks to the movie, but also because it fits the gay theme perfectly, not to mention that it can be an easy costume to pull off convincingly. Creativity is not needed, but the costume itself could be expensive if you are unable to find cowboy hats or denim jackets to borrow.
To economize such a costume, you might consider visiting a discount or thrift store to find the cowboy hat and denim jacket. Or you can forget the denim jacket and wear a cowboy-style shirt. Very few people do not own an old pair of jeans that could be used to complete this easy costume.
