The Heart Line
The lines in a person’s palm can be divided into four basic lines. The Heart Line stretches from the pinkie to the index finger. It is believed to indicate trauma, emotional stability and even cardiac health. For example, a wavy line indicates many lovers with no serious relationships and a straight and short line indicates no interest in romance etc.
The Head Line runs diagonal with the heart line and represents learning style and intellectualism. A curved, sloping line represents creativity. A straight line means that the person is a realist. Broken head lines indicate inconsistent thoughts. Deep, long lines mean that a person is focused and wavy lines indicate a short attention span.
The life line starts near the thumb and arches towards the wrist. This reflects general health and wellness as well as personal changes. A curvy life line indicates an abundance of energy. Multiple life lines indicate vitality. Straight life lines close to the palm mean that the person is cautious concerning relationships.
The fate line is sometimes known as the line of destiny, but not everyone has a fate line. Life lines begin at the base of the palm. They indicate how a person is affected by circumstances beyond their own control. Deep fate lines mean that the person is strongly controlled by fate. If it begins joined to the life line then the individual is a self-made person. If it starts at the base of the thumb and crosses the life line then the person is well supported by friends and family.
Hand Shapes
When you read palms, you should consider the person’s hand shapes as well. For example, consider the hand’s length. Overall hand size is an indicator of their personality. For instance, a longer than usual ring finger may denote an artistic trait. Long index fingers denote leadership skills. Small baby fingers indicate a lack of influence over others. Smoothness matters too. Smooth top knuckles indicate a person who is intellectual and practical. A person with smooth joints may be passive. If the tips of your subject’s fingers stand out, they may also have a very strong intellect.
